Build Championship Leaders.

One team. One system. One culture. S.A.L.T.
Student Athlete Leadership Team is a complete leadership development system for Athletic Directors, Coaches, Captains, and Teams, built on the F.A.M.I.L.Y.® method.

On the National Stage

A Coach’s Impact Lasts a Lifetime

On ESPN College GameDay, Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe shared where he first learned F.A.M.I.L.Y.®, from his high school coach in Katy, Texas.

The leadership gap

Captains are chosen. Too few are trained.

Talent may earn a title. It does not automatically teach someone how to lead a locker room, handle conflict, challenge teammates, serve others, or protect culture.

Why S.A.L.T. is different

Most programs talk about leadership. We practice it.

Questions from coaches and Athletic Directors

Everything you need before the conversation.

What exactly is S.A.L.T.?

S.A.L.T. stands for Student Athlete Leadership Team. It is a coach led leadership development system built around seven units and a Capstone. It combines participant playbooks, a Coach’s Guide, meetings, reflection, challenges, wristbands, mentors, service, and implementation support.

Who is the program designed for?

The program is built for school, club, college, and professional team environments. It can begin with captains, a selected leadership council, or a Student Athlete Leadership Team.

How long does the program take?

Coaches choose the cadence that fits the season. The program contains seven units and a Capstone. Each team meeting is structured around a focused 60 minute flow, with reflection and practice between sessions.

How much preparation does a coach need?

The Coach’s Guide provides the meeting structure, prompts, lesson direction, activity, pledge, and closing reflection. Coaches are not asked to create a leadership curriculum from scratch.

Can an Athletic Director use this across multiple teams?

Yes. S.A.L.T. creates a shared leadership language that can be used across programs while allowing each coach to select the cadence and application that fits the team.

Do all athletes participate?

A team can begin with captains and emerging leaders, then decide how those leaders will bring the lessons back to the full roster. Organization wide options can be discussed during the demo.

How does the Mentor Circle work?

After each of the first six trait units, each participant gives the corresponding wristband to someone who already models that trait. By the end, the participant has identified six mentors who can continue shaping their leadership.

What does the black wristband represent?

The black wristband represents the F.A.M.I.L.Y. mindset, Forget About Me I Love You. Participants keep it as a reminder of their commitment to servant leadership.

What is included in the package?

Packages can include Captain’s Playbooks, a Coach’s Guide, trait wristbands, leadership materials, training, facilitator resources, and implementation support. Final quantities and options are confirmed during the demo.

Is this faith based?

The central F.A.M.I.L.Y. principle is rooted in selfless love and servant leadership. Ask during the demo about the best fit and implementation for your organization.

Can assistant coaches or staff facilitate meetings?

Yes. The guide is designed to give an approved facilitator a clear meeting flow. Your demo can address roles, training, and who should lead each part of the experience.

What will the demo cover?

The demo should answer program timing, participant count, coach preparation, materials, implementation support, package options, and how S.A.L.T. can fit your specific team or organization.

Can we preview the curriculum before deciding?

Yes. The interactive preview on this page includes the program introduction and complete Respect and Honesty units, so you can experience the structure before requesting a demo.

How do we get pricing?

Pricing depends on the number of participants, package configuration, and implementation needs. Request a demo so the team can recommend the right option and provide accurate pricing.
